Danse L’Etreinte came as a result of the long-term collaboration between Tristan Jeanne-Valès and many renowned choreographers and dancers. The exhibition consists of fifty three images (black and white and colour), which have been made in the period between 1980 and 2007, and offers a panorama of contemporary dance pieces. Realization of Tristan Jeanne-Valès’ research project on traditional music in Macedonia
20. – 30. April, 2009
Accompanied by the Macedonian musician Dejan Spasovic, Tristan Jeanne-Valès will travel through Macedonia, in order to meet musicians dedicated to Macedonian traditional music, as well as artisans who make traditional music instruments. This research is part of his long-term research project on traditional music which started in 2002. After his research trips in Scotland, Bretagne (France), Ireland, Portugal, Andalusia (Spain), Serbia and Bulgaria, he continues his work on traditional music in Macedonia, in collaboration with Lokomotiva.
