Information about the host association

2angles
Created in 2003, 2angles is an artistic association with a mission to promote the visual arts and contemporary dance. In 2010, 2angles becomes one of the 5 Regional Relais culturel in the Region Lower Normandy.

Located in old former dry cleaner’s bulling of 400 m2, 2angles dispose with three exhibition spaces, studios for artists in resident, a documentation centre, and an art library (artothèque). The association also has a dance space and a rehearsal studio available free of charge by the city of Flers for the artists in resident programme.

2angles is a place of creation open to artists, a place of experimentation, meetings and exchanges. It is a bridge towards outside that connects artists, the city and public.

- Date of the residency:
5 – 20 October 2015, including the travel dates

- The residency providers/covers the costs for:
 Transport on relation: city of Skopje, Macedonia – city of Flers (Lower Normandy) - city of Skopje, Macedonia
 Accommodation for the artist in 2angles for the period of stay, single room, community kitchen.
 Covered food costs for the period of stay

 Working studio, staff office with internet line
 300 euro for working materials (tools and materials available)

 Presentation at the end of the residency for the artistic community and public

- Condition for applications
Emerging of professional visual artist from Macedonia, preferably working in the fields of painting, drawing, graphics, video, photography or mixed media.
The artist must be fluent in English or French.
The artist needs to propose a work (new or in the process of development) that will be produced, worked on during the residency.

- Application procedures
 The open call for the residency starts on 18th of June and ends on 18th of July.
 The interested artists should send their professional biography and the explanation of the work that they are interested to developed/work on during their residential stay. Both documents should be send on English on the following address: contact@lokomotiva.org.mk
 The selection group composed by the members of Lokomotiva (Violeta Kachakova and Biljana Tanurovska - Kjulavkovski) and 2angles (Jérôme LETINTURIER and Marine COSTARD) will examine all the applications and will give the results on the 5th of September 2015.
