The event was open with the exchange of experiences of the institutional partners of the cooperation, representatives from the Region Lower Normandy and the Republic of Macedonia. The representatives of the French Embassy in Macedonia, also present at the event, confirmed the support of the Embassy to the cooperation and congratulated to the efforts given by all stakeholders involved in the cooperation during these ten years. Then, partners from Macedonia and Lower Normandy presented their joint projects and actions realised in the frame of different thematic parts of the cooperation: culture, youth, human rights, new technologies and the First World War in Macedonia.

In this frame, Violeta Kachakova, presented the work of Lokomotiva, as partner of the cooperation since 2007, and the programme and activates implemented and related to to the cultural cooperation, cultural policies and artistic exchange.

Representatives of the local governments from Lower Normandy and Macedonia also presented their activities and their benefits of these partnerships.

On the second day three thematic workshops were organised that enabled discussions on future of the cooperation. The workshops focused on the prospects for the institutional cooperation between local governments, cooperation with the Balkans and the potential economic cooperation between the Region Lower Normandy and Macedonia.

This event was an occasion to celebrate this fruitful collaboration that brought together the Region Lower Normandy and Macedonia, created partnerships, friendships and intercultural exchanges.

As said by many of the partners during the celebration: "We hope we will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of this collaboration!"
