Celebration of 10th year of LOKOMOTIVA and the AWARD given to the organisation by SCP in the Western Balkan

“Museum of women stories” is part of the project "Culture in the role of territorial development and social cohesion" supported in the frame of the Programme for Decentralized Cooperation between the Region of Lower Normandy and Macedonia and developed by Lokomotiva, Skopje.

As part of the research process in the period from 22 to 24 of September, Lokomotiva in cooperation with Kontra Kadar debate cinema from Bitola organized three public events - film screenings and discussions on topics related to emancipation of the women and their role in the society.

Programme of the screenings:

  • 22 September, Bitola (Centre for Culture) – screening of “Orlando” directed by Sally Potter. Discussion with Senka Anastasova, University Professor, Ph.D. in Philosophy, moderator: Gjorgi Pulevski from Kontra Kadar debate cinema

  • 23 September, Prilep (Centre for Culture) – screening of “Orlando” directed by Sally Potter. Discussion with Senka Anastasova, University Professor, PhD in Philosophy, moderator: Gjorgi Pulevski from Kontra Kadar debate cinema
  • 24 September, Demir Hisar (House of Culture) – screening of “Salt of the Earth” directed by Herbert J. Biberman. Discussion with Irena Cvetkovic, PhD Candidate in Gender Studies, moderator: Gjorgi Pulevski from Kontra Kadar debate cinema

These events were part of the programme of the third edition of the manifestation Regional Days for Culture in Pelagonija Region (22 to 30 September) organized by the Regional Network for Culture, coordinated by the Centre for Development of Pelagonija Region in cooperation with the municipalities and cultural institutions from the Region.
