On the basis of the decision taken by the SCP Regional Steering Committee in November 2012, Lokomotiva – Centre for New Initiatives in Arts and Culture is rewarded for its work, added value and excellence demonstrated in the field of contemporary performing arts in the Balkans with the award of 15.000 CHF.

This award was given to four organisations from the Balkans for the best practices and excellence in their fields of work, among which to Stanica- Service for Contemporary Dance from Belgrade, one of the Lokomotiva’s partner and co-founder of the Nomad Dance Academy, CAC from Skopje and YUSTAT from Belgrade.

The award was given in the frame of the Final Event that marks the closure of the Swiss Cultural Programme (SCP), organized in Sarajevo (11 and 12 April 2013). The event was organised in collaboration with the Embassy of Switzerland in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Swiss Development Cooperation Office. More than 100 regional and international cultural practitioners, activists, artists, academia and supporters gathered on this occasion in Sarajevo.
