The participants of the workshop are thirty representatives of the cultural sector from all 9 municipalities in the Pelagonija region (representatives of the municipalities responsible for culture, representatives of public cultural institutions, NGOs, independent artists, craft associations etc.), which are actively working in the municipalities.
This workshop is one of the activities planed for 2011 in the frame of the project axe for Cultural policy and cultural exchange from the project for Decentralised cooperation between Republic of Macedonia and the Region Low Normandy/France.
The leaders of this project axe are Lokomotiva – Centre for New Initiatives in Arts and Culture from Skopje (Macedonia) and CRECET - Centre Régional de Culture Ethnologique et Technique de Basse-Normandie (Regional Centre for Culture, Ethnology and Techniques of Low Normandy).
The Macedonian partners in realisation of the programme activities are the Centre for Regional Development of the Pelagonija Region, the Municipality of Bitola and the Ministry of Local Self-Governance.
The creators and moderators of the workshop programme are Biljana Tanurovska – Kjulavkovski and Violeta Kachakova (Lokomotiva, Skopje) and Kristina Kujundzic (expert and collaborator from Serbia).
Besides, Kristina Kujundzic as invited experts and lecturers on the workshop will take part: Marijana Cvetkovic (Serbia), Pierre Schmit, Audrey Paulmier, Rémy Privat (France) and Dragana Kjurcioska (Ministry of Culture of Republic of Macedonia).
In June 2011, as part of the activities of this project axe, in Low Normandy another workshop will be organised. This workshop should develop the professional capacities of the cultural institutions and local cultural actors in Low Normandy, in order to increase their international collaboration in the field of culture and the usage of international funds for culture.
The project for Decentralised cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Region Low Normandy/France is supported by the Region Low Normandy, the French Ministry of Foreign Affaires and the Association of Agencies for Local Development.
The activities developed in the frame of the project axe for Cultural policy and cultural exchange are directed towards development of the cultural policy (creation of strategies for local/regional cultural development), decentralisation in culture, enhancement of the partner collaboration between the national, local cultural institutions and the civil sector, as well as enhancement of the artistic collaboration and mobility between Republic of Macedonia and Low Normandy.
