Secrets For Sale (2003 by Elodie Pong)

The projection of the film Secrets for Sale by Elodie Pong in the hall of the Theater. In 2003 Pong completed a series of works that investigate the notions of secrecy and intimacy. The ADN/ARN (Any Deal Now/Any Reality Now) System functioned as an installation on the verge of public and private, artistic and artificial space. Visitors found themselves in an interactive installation while being filmed by 8 surveillance cameras. They were invited to confide and then contractually sell a personal secret. The initial installation occured in Lausanne at the Centre d'Arts scéniques Contemporain Arsenic during 4 months. It further took place at the Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris for a period of 2 months. Altogether, more than 600 persons participated in the project. The film Secrets For Sale which recontextualises this radical experience was presented at numerous festivals and museums worldwide and won awards such as the Viper Award and the Re:view Film & Video Award of the Migros Museum. It will be projected in the hall of the Theatre before the evening performance.
