Five people. Different stories. Five games. Forty glasses with water. Keep the water. Throw the water. Play with it, but never drink it. Start. This performance is part of the Short Cuts, a final presentation of 2009 Nomad Dance Academy students.
Žana Penčeva was born in Burgas and develops as a dance artist. In 2007 she graduated in dance theatre at NBU, Sofia, Bulgaria. She is a member of the Our House Group contemporary arts institution that organizes the Puzzle Festival. Between 2007 and 2009 she dances for the Dune Dance Company. In 2009 she has been a scholarship recepient at the Nomad Dance Academy. As a performer she has worked with choreographers such as: Petja Stojkova, Rosen Mihailov, Tatiana Sokolova, Anna Pampulova, Jurij Konjar, Robert Tannion. Her latest performances include: His Favourite Song(a collaboration dance miniature) and Glass of Love (a dance performance produced by the Nomad Dance Academy). She finds her inspiration in people, love, the sea, motion, energy, feelings, and emotions. She is interested creating different body communications and find out the extremities of body and mind.
