EnKnapGroup
Iztok Kovač started the dance group En-Knap in 1993 under the auspices of the Klapstuk festival in Leuven (Belgium). In 1994, the production organization EN-KNAP was registered in Ljubljana (Slovenia).
In 16 years of EN-KNAP activities:
41 performances have been created,
5 dance and 6 documentary films shot,
20 international awards has been received,
plus a multitude of educational programmes launched and a collection of books published.
From the outset, the program of EN-KNAP has been financially supported by the Slovene Ministry of Culture and City Council of Ljubljana.
EN-KNAP has been collaborating with more than 50 foreign and Slovene co-producers, which is reflected in more than 400 guest appearances, in more than 30 countries all over the world.
In 2007 EN-KNAP decided to change from project-based to repertory-based work and started a permanent dance company EnKnapGroup, EKG with an international cast of graduates from Europe's top dance schools. In a year and a half they have collaborated with 11 distinguished authors from the field of theatre and dance.
EnKnapGroup is a permanent international repertory-based dance company dedicated to collaborating with innovative, creative authors from both Slovenia and abroad. We are striving to achieve an artistic synergy between our own aesthetics and forms of expression and the most experimental dimensions of contemporary dance. Inside EKG, history dances with the future, our collective soul is moved by our individual bodies, and the old model of East/West Europe is turned inside out.

EnKnapGroup in Skopje presents:
- Bojan Jablanovec with CUT OUT /45min./

One of the creative principles of Bojan Jablanovec and his project Via Negativa is a reduction of theatre to the relationship between a performer and a spectator in a real time and space.
Theatre show that wants to question this relationship demands of every performer to ask him or herself the following questions: What do I want to get across? Does my message deserves to be presented? Is this really what I want to show? In this way a methodological auto-negation can be one of the means of investigating the basis of a theatrical situation. (B. Jablanovec)
Concept: Bojan Jablanovec with assistance of Katarina Stegnar

BRAKE of 10min
- Simone Sandroni with SKY/25min./
The piece was made as the second part of the performance „IN BETWEEN“ and is a continuation and supplement to the performance „Earth“ choreographed by Lenka Flory. It shows a vast and borderless sky. People search for each other to avoid solitude. Finding each other they suspect, seduce, dominate and loose, struggle, envy and fight. They look back to the Earth and think of lost happiness.“Instead of flying we dug into the cold earth. We continued to fall, believing that the impact with the earth would allow us to penetrate it and understand it. “
