Imago is a combination of bodies, paint, dance, animation, original electronic music and a powerful choreography. Despite being their debut, the performance was immediately pronounced as one of the interesting new displays of contemporary dance and won the second place at the National Competition for Contemporary Choreography organized by the Humarts Foundation. Soon after this, Imago blew away the theatrical guild and in 2007 earned an Icarus for a best debut – it was the first time ever a dance project to recive this award. Since then the performance has visited Germany and Greece. Imago is the last phase in the development of insects. It is also a term used by Jung to describe the way in which people create their personality by identifying with images from the collective unconscious.
They are not even 25, but they are recognized by everyone who likes the original, the different, contemporary dance. With their very first project Imago they shook the heavy theatre machine here.

The second day of the Sofia Dance Week will present the Bulgarians from Kinesthetic Project (Violeta Vitanova and Stanislav Genadiev) staging their Imago and Void shows, which won them wide recognition as one of Bulgaria's most up-and-coming contemporary dance formations. Last year, Imago was given the prestigious Bulgarian Icarus theatre award for a best debut. The jury’s decision to give the award to a dance project was unprecedented.
