OUCH COUCH (2005) is an intimate dialogue experienced as an outcome of the impossibility to create a deeper intimacy in a surface-oriented “instant” world. The couch, where the two individuals meet, is an air-filled plastic associative object of inconsistency. The relationship of the two subjects is identified with the object: manipulative, intimate, at times even absurd because of its artificiality.
On the 8th of July 2007, OUCH COUCH would be presented in Dublin, on the Balkan Irish Arts Forum. One of the programme parts of the Arts Forum is dedicated to contemporary dance performances, in which OUCH COUCH would be presented together with other performances from the Balkan region.
Balkan Irish Arts Forum was set up in 2006 to implement cultural projects within Ireland and South Eastern Europe and to assist artist mobility into these areas. The Balkan Irish Arts Forum was formed from an alliance of five key cultural operators; BIAF Dublin, Visual Artists Ireland, Remont Independent Artist Association Belgrade, Brain Store Project Sofia and Maska Productions Ljubljana. In this year programme of the Arts Forum besides the contemporary dance performances there would be also included lectures, master classes, discussions and screenings.
