"Everyday life becomes a ritual, we are repeating ourselves. We move through space in deep-rooted patterns. The body and the feelings obey to the surrounding space, which becomes too tight. The only way out from this reality can be found in disappearing in our thoughts, where there are no limits and time stops. My body becomes an instrument that discovers new moments, objects and subjects from the reality."
Ana Josifovska

In & Out is me and me, me and my body, me and the crowd, me and the audience, me and the space, me and the silence, me and the sound, me and the other, me and me…

”[T]he relation between the gaze and what one wishes to see involves a lure. The subject is presented as other than he is, and what one shows him is not what he wants to see.“
(Lacan, Four fundamental concepts: 104)

In & Out is supported by Swiss Cultural Programme Macedonia

(Not) Close is an experiment, my view about the space and a chain of events between two people when CLOSE to each other or NOT. (Not) Close is a position in space, played with eye-catching material. Our game is body-manipulation, which is simultaneously the instrument and the subject of research in open space; a dialogue between two people; images and movement."
Kire Miladinoski

3. Gravity Test 2006-7, 10 min

Gravity Test 2006-7, 10 min

Choreographer/dancer: Ivana Kocevska
Organization: Lokomotiva – Centre for New Initiatives in Arts and Culture
Music retrieved from: Jacques Loussier/ album: Best play Bach, ITALIAN
External advisor/mentor: Iskra Sukarova
Executive producer/manager: Biljana Tanurovska

Gravity Test researches the kinaesthetic possibilities of the body. Merce Cunningham’s statement was used as a starting point: ”I am interested how it looks from this or that angle, in what is kinaesthetic, how to perform it and what will attribute to the kinaesthetic or to the rhythmic sense.  I am interested in research of something, as it is posture of hands“. Ivana starts from this point, researches her own body postures and tries to oppose gravity.
