Lokomtiva’s selection on the Balkan Snapshot Film Festival 26-27 October 2007, Kriterion, Amsterdam

The Balkan Snapshots Film Festival was created in 2006 to give an opportunity to independent filmmakers and artists to show their works to a Western audience.
The aim of the festival is to promote fresh local talent via a selection of conventional and unconventional works that address issues of identity and expression in creative ways. Works, often from first-time directors, that have the quality and the courage to go beyond the stereotyped topics (war, misery, no future...) that are so often associated with the Balkans and to break free from the geographical and historical boundaries that so often label the work of the artists developing in these European regions.

The second edition of the Balkan Snapshots Film Festival presents a selection of short films, documentaries and video-art made by young filmmakers and video artists from six of the Balkan regions (Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia, Kosovo and Albania).
