Balkan Dance Platform (BDP) is a regional, biannual event in the field of contemporary dance, dedicated to improve cultural dialogue by providing forum for presentation and promotion of the recent most innovative contemporary dance productions by authors form the region.
The first BDP took place in Sofia in November 2001 followed by the second edition held in Bucharest in September 2003, both of which were organized in partnership by two cultural organizations from the region, Proiect DCM Foundation (Romania) and Red House (Bulgaria). The third edition was organized by LOKOMOTIVA in Skopje in November 2005, which presented to the Macedonian audience 17 inviting productions, representing the best of the recent contemporary dance tendencies form the Balkan region.
Full House Promotion (Athens) in collaboration with the Megaron, Athens Concert Hall and the international partners of the Platform: The Red House (Sofia-Bulgaria), Lokomotiva (Skopje-Macedonia), ArtLink (Bucharest-Romania), Exodos (Ljubljana-Slovenia) and Per.Art (Novi Sad-Serbia) organised the 4th edition of the Balkan Dance Platform 2007 (BDP 2007), the only biennial event in the Balkans showcasing the current tendencies in contemporary dance and choreography in the region.
The aim of BDP 2007 is to enhance the development of the contemporary dance in the Balkan countries through promotion and presentation of choreographers and dancers, stimulating new productions, cooperation and networking in the region.
BDP 2007 will be held from 11th to 14th October, 2007 in Athens, Greece at the venues of the Athens Concert Hall.
Among the 93 applications received for the 4th edition of the BDP, the selection committee which was comprised by the partners of the Platform: Christina Polychroniadou (Full House Promotion, Athens- Greece); Tzvetelina Iossifova (The Red House, Sofia- Bulgaria); Iskra Sukarova (Lokomotiva, Skopje- Macedonia); Miki Braniste (ArtLink, Bucharest- Romania); Natasa Zavolovšek (Exodos Ljubljana- Slovenia) and Ana Vujanović (Per.Art, Novi Sad- Serbia) selected the following artists and works:

Besides, our respected choreographer Iskra Sukarova, on BDP 2007 will be also presented two other young Macedonian dancers and choreographers, Ana Josifivska and Kire Miladoniovski; both of them active members of the LOKOMOTIVA’s programme for support and development of the contemporary dance.
Their works, “In & Out” and “Not Close” were presented to the Macedonian audience in the frames of the even “OPEN SCENE Nights of contemporary dance” organised by LOKOMOTIVA, on the 12th of May 2007 in the Macedonian National Theatre, Skopje.
