"A Page Out of Order: M" draws on the shared histories and unfamiliar stories of artists living in Japan, Macedonian and the US. Fifteen musicians and dancers share the stage in an installation environment that acts as a metaphor for psychic space. Projected films, including a distillation of Milcho Manchevski’s 1994 Academy-Award nominated film Before the Rain, are layered over the performers’ choreographed chaos. Japanese voice-over sensation Sizzle Ohtaka narrates this non-linear diary in the ‘benshi’ style, evoking 1920s Japanese silent cinema.

The second part of the preparations continued in New York Theatre DTW (Dance Theatre Workshop) whereas the performance has its premiere on the 16 of January 2007.
 
As part of its programme for education and public development, DTW organises meetings and open discussions with the authors of the shows after one of their performances. In the frames of this programme an open meeting – discussion on the 17 of January was organised with Yoshiko Chuma, Carla Peterson (Artistic Director of DTW) and Milco Mancevski, whose film “Before the rain” is one of the main components on which Chuma’s research for this creation-performance has been based.
